Soul Surgery

The approach in creating the work started from a few main ideas: the lack of inter-human affectivity, the invading of the sacred by the profane, life principles based on materialism and not on feelings, desinterest in the moral state of man.

There is a profund lack of interest for the "other's" feelings, an inner introspection, finding something else than a gap between what we really feel and the daily self-imposed masks, based on a different system of values, artificial and superficial. In a society which is getting farther and farther from the sensible, affectivity becomes a problem. My work speaks about the emptiness between the human beings and its artificial filling with material, financial and physical values.

The moral principles are lost together with the feelings, the emotions, and are compensated by a cold, pragmatical reason. The soul, marginalized through the daily fight against the material, is the only one capable of interacting with "the sensible" in a sum of affective, intelectual and willingly processes of man, consciously or instinctively.
