Donna can't speak in tongues

DVD 5:43 min

The video was filmed in Topeka in Kansas, USA on the 3rd August 2002. It was in this town where the movement of modern day speaking in tongues / glossolalia* began in 1901. A group of about 40 people had gathered under the leadership of the preacher Charles Parham when a woman, Miss Agnes Osman, started to speak a language unknown to herself or to the other members of the congregation. Speaking in tongues quickly spread to other parts of the US as well as to other continents, including Scandinavia. Today the movement is called the Pentecostal church and it is the second largest Christian movement in the world. The enclosed picture is of Stone's Folly, the house where the phenomenon began. The producer of the video Donna can't speak in tongues was part of the movement himself but lost the ability to speaking in tongues 18 years ago.

* When you speak in tongues you leave conventional spoken language and follow one's own string of words. It is similar to what the Surrealism called automatism. Formally, the Holy Ghost, 'the helper' aids people to communicate with God.
