Arhiva de discuri este un proiect in desfasurare,
constand intr-o colectie de discuri de vinil care documenteaza prin
sunet evenimente istorice ale secolului 20.
Arhiva contine discursuri si interviuri ale
liderilor lumii, razboaie transpuse in sunet, tratate de pace, lupte
pentru drepturile omului si alte transmisiuni radio de evenimente care
au format istoria, de la inventarea fonografului la caderea zidului
Berlinului.
Fenomenul discurilor care documenteaza evenimente
politice si istorice a fost popular de prin anii 50 pana pe la sfarsitul
anilor 80. Cea mai mare parte dintre discuri au legatura directa cu
propaganda si mandria nationala.
Sunt interesat in a cerceta cum societatea isi
transforma evenimentele istorice in bunuri de consum si cum documentarea
audio functioneaza in relatie cu memoria colectiva.
